Rally for thirst (20.11.2017)
“We forget that the Water Cycle and Life Cycle are one.”
With yet another initiative, to develop a sense of social responsibility within the students, Queen Mira International School engaged students of Grades 6 to 9 & 11 in a “Rally for thirst”. Students prepared placards on slogans and facts related towards conservation of water.
200 students along with 35 faculty participated in the rally. Assistant Commissioner of Law and Order, Thallakulam, Mr. Asokan, initiated the rally by waving the flag. Dr. C. Chandran, Chairman, Queen Mira International School honoured Mr. Asokan. To commemorate “International Children’s Day”, QMIS students actively participated in this rally understanding their responsibility in the society. The rally started from Rajah Muthiah Mandram and ended at Gandhi Museum. Students proudly held the self made placards and marched on a silent rally. At the Gandhi Museum, students were provided with refreshments. Students also shared different ways to conserve water and the initiatives that will be taken by them being the responsibility of a Global Citizen.
