Report on Club Inauguration
‘Goals are the links in the chain that connect activity to accomplishment’
The activities of the clubs, Erudite, Heritage, Pop Corn, Science, Tamil and Adventure of QMIS were inaugurated on Friday, 22 nd June 2018 by Dr. Vidhya. She is an energetic woman who is M.D of a corporate and runs a charitable trust.
The inauguration started with an invocation song by the choir of QMIS, followed by Ms. Kalpana’s welcome speech, Ms. Anita compeered the event.
The Erudite Club came with the objective of ‘Enhancing the Linguistic skills of Children’.
The Club incharges Ms. Haritha and Ms. Aishwarya briefed the gathering with the action plan of the club for the academic year 2018 – 19.
The Heritage club propounded the goal ‘To sensitize the students, to explore the past, by experiments and to preserve the values for the future’. The club incharges Ms. Archana, Ms. Rezwana and Ms. Nandhini took the responsibility to feed the gathering of taking care of the monuments and to replenish their thoughts with the importance of Ancient games. Then popped the Pop Corn club with the zeal to promote the creative ideas of film making. The Club facilitators Ms. Praveena and Ms. Joy Sheeba briefed the club’s objective of fostering the creativity through edutainment with a visionary note of bringing up creative film makers to the society.
Ms. Parasakthi and Ms. Mahalakshmi re- iterated the Science Club’s activities by emphasizing the Research skills to reason out and question anything.
Tamil club incharges Ms. Murugeshwari and Ms. Kasthuri insisted on the importance of Tamil language and how the club activities will benefit them.
The Adventure club captivated the gathering with their upcoming venturesome activities. Mr. Bharath and Mr. Aravind listed the club’s plan and excited the gathering.
The Principal Ms. Sujatha motivated the children to give their active participation in the club activities in order to fulfill QMIS’ vision statement ‘To educate the leaders of tomorrow who will change the way the world lives, learns and work’.
The guest for the day Ms. Vidhya felt happy and nostalgic to share few anecdotes from her childhood during the club activities. She was awestruck to observe the children being well informed by the club activities. She declared open the clubs with a great reckon of hope.
