Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation(CCE):
The major objective of assessment is to improve student learning. Our curriculum ensures that learning is shifted away from rote method. Our assessments are flexible and are integrated into the classroom life. The Assessment is silent, vigilant, consistent and comprehensive. Apart from the CCE assessment as prescribed by CBSE, periodic formative and summative assessments are conducted to follow the students learning process. The students will be awarded grades based on their everyday performance and aggregated with the summative assessments. Apart from the Edu-Sparrow, wherein parents can keep themselves updated every day with the progress of their child, we also have regular Parent – teacher conferences wherein the parents and teachers interact on ways to achieve their common goal – that is to make the child a well adjusted, well learned individual.
We also have a Learnometer assessment which is a diagnostic test based on multiple choice questions. The assessment report by learnometer is a guideline for parents and teachers to work on learning areas. The test helps the teacher assess not only higher order thinking skills but also application and reasoning. The tests are judiciously spread through the academic year to give a timely progress report on your child. The success of pedagogy followed by QMIS is evident from the results of Learn-o-meter, an Xseed proprietary tool that helps measure the performance of the school along a set of variables. In a short period, QMIS has raised the bar and has exceeded the national average in Maths and Science.
International Benchmark Testing (IBT):
The International Benchmark Test (IBT) is an internationally administered program of assessments for students in years 3 to 10. They are tested in English, Maths and Science. The IBT allows schools to compare student progress with local, national and international benchmarks. Around 350 schools from various countries participate in this assessment program. The reports provide schools and students with detailed information about a student's strengths and weaknesses in all subject areas. The IBT Tests are skill-based, and they do not follow any single national curriculum. This allows students from all countries to be compared fairly. The IBT is one of many high-quality educational assessments developed by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER), a world leader in educational research, assessment and reporting.
