I am an Orator!
At the Erudite club we have been taking measures in implementing various activities to enhance the English language skills of our students. Public Speaking is difficult, it is frightening for many.
To remove the fear of Public Speaking, a special session “I am an Orator!” was conducted for students of Grades 6 to 8. Great Orators like Socrates, Winston Churchill, Jawaharlal Nehru, Abraham Lincoln and Swami Vivekananda gave speeches that left the audience spell bound and truly elated.
Children were taught how to connect with the audience, the words they chose, their stage presence and how to think out of the box. They were asked to talk about “Relationships”.
Children were able to keep their class mates attentive by inserting some calculated humor in their presentation. There were some students who delivered their speech with utmost passion and conviction. Children who found Public Speaking a challenge came out of their shells.
“If you can speak, you can influence. If you can influence, you can change lives.”
