A Report on CBSE School Teacher's Capacity Building Programme on Class Room Management
One of the greatest challenges teachers face today in their profession is class room management . To make up this alarming challenge ,
the CBSE Board – Centre of Excellence , Cochi organized a well – planned seminar on 25.11.16 and 26.11.16 at the QMIS premises at Western Musical Studio for all the Schools which come under the Chennai Zone. Ms. Sujatha Guptan with her pleasing address welcomed the gathering.
This seminar focused upon VARK (Visual, Aural, Read / write and Kinesthetic ) Learning styles , Instructional Management , Physical Arrangement in the classroom ,
Time management , various teaching styles , classroom disciplinary practices and all ancillary subjects on both the days.
The sessions were very efficiently handled by the Resource Persons Mr. Srinivasan and Mr. Bastin , the Principals of reputed CBSE Schools.
The entire team of teachers experienced various teaching practices and methods through case studies , situations handling , group discussions , role play , presentation and other activities .
Fifty Six Teachers ranging from Principal to Teachers representing 23 schools took part and enriched their knowledge and they interchanged their ideas and nuances of various interpersonal relationships and measures to construct efficient class room management .
The management and the Principal of QMIS took utmost care in each and every area of the logistics with regard to venue,
food , refreshments , communication and hand outs , registration and human resources .
On the whole , the two day Capacity Building Programme was really a great learning experience with a hand-in-hand approach and touch of QMIS and Centre of Excellence.
