Christmas Celebration – 23.12.16

“The Magic of Christmas is not in the presents, but in His presence”. Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas. In order to spread joy and happiness, Christmas was celebrated at QMIS on 23rd December from 10 am to 12:30 pm.

The programme started with an invocation to God. The Chief Guest of the day was Rev. Dudley .M. Thangiah, Senior Pastor at New Life Assembly. He is the receiver of Indira Gandhi Sadbhavana Award 2016.

The Chief Guest delivered a wonderful message on ‘The signs of Christmas’. The students of Grade 1 & 2 sang ‘Rudolf the Red nosed Reindeer’ followed by a heavenly angels dance by grade 3, 4 & 5 students. Students of Grade 6 & 7 sang a melodious Christmas Tamil song and students of Grade 8 performed a skit on the Nativity Theme of Christmas.

Our Christmas Carol Singers cheered the crowd making them tap their feet to the tunes of the Carols. There was a rocking dance performance by Grade 9 students that indeed stole the hearts of many. Christmas Celebrations can never be complete without the arrival of Santa Claus. The children were overjoyed and excited as Santa distributed the sweets and exchanged wishes.

May all the sweet magic of Christmas conspire to gladden your hearts and fill every desire.
