Q’s Sports Complex was inaugurated on Day 1 of Sangamam by Mr. Saumil Majmudar on 10.01.17. The management along with Q’s Physical Education Department had planned for 3 nights of FLOODLIGHT matches from 08.05.17 to 10.05.17.
Day 1 of the FLOOD LIGHT matches: It was a beautiful evening with teachers, family and friends gathered to watch the Basketball match between St. Britto’s Super Senior Team and Senior Team. It was organized well and renowned match officials were invited too. The atmosphere was charged with chanting and cheering by the supporters. Mr. Sivakumar, parent of Mridula, inaugurated the basketball match by making the first shoot and wished the players good luck. Both teams had young, vibrant and energetic players. It was an interesting game and a head on battle but ultimately St. Britto’s Senior team battled hard and won the game. Kudos to both the teams for it was truly an entertainer!!
Day 2 of the FLOOD LIGHT matches: It was a clash between Thirunagar Volleyball Club and Kochadai Volleyball Club on Tuesday night. Ms. Christinaal, Vice Principal, wished the players good luck and the match commenced. The gallery was filled with cheerers for both the teams. The Thirunagar Volleyball Team played some excellent Volleyball but lacked consistency at key moments. The Kochadai Volleyball team was a Powerhouse packed with energetic players and their hits and serves were phenomenal. The spectators were seated at the edge of their seats. Finally Kochadai Volleyball Club won the match. It was truly a sensational match to watch!!
Day 3 of the FLOOD LIGHT matches: The much awaited match was assigned for the third day. It was the match between Q’s Soccer Club and TVS Soccer Club. The Q’s Soccer Club was playing their first game on home ground. It was an enthralling game of football which ended in a draw and was forced in for a penalty shootout. The spectators had a real treat. It was a great game to watch and a neck on neck battle between the two teams. Finally TVS Soccer Club won the match.
Games are just a nice, positive way to build friendship, camaraderie, and, of course self – esteem.
