Sangamam 2016 – ’17 – An Amalgamation of Arts

Queen Mira International School celebrated its 6 th Annual day celebration on the 10 th and 13 th of January 2017 with all its exceptionality and it turned out to be yet another triumphant episode in QMIS’s History. The two days programme distinctly manifested the harmony that prevailed within the mighty Management, the Charismatic Principal, the passionate teachers and the amiable and diligent students.

SANGAMAM 16 –’17 DAY 1 – JANUARY 10TH, 2017

The Day 1 of Sangamam’17 staged the performances of the Kindergarteners and Graders 1 & 2. Mr. Saumil Majmudar, Co – Founder and CEO Edu Sports presided the first day of Sangamam 2017 – ’18. The event was diligently organized. There was a soul to it. A soul that was vibrant, contagious and exuberant. The programme commenced with the Prayer song by the School choir that sounded celestial. The Principal formally welcomed the eminent guests and introduced the Hon’ble Chief Guest to the gathering. The Compeering team had a lively interactive session with the Chairman Dr. C. Chandran , Principal Ms. Sujatha, Director Mr. Abinath Chandran. It gave a thorough insight of their journey of establishing Queen Mira International School.

Mr. Saumil had the crowd captivated with his invigorating speech. Mr. Ashish Gupta shared his experiences with the gathering which was truly inspiring. The newly constructed Sports Complex was inaugurated by Mr. Saumil Majmudar. The Star Performers among the students of each grade, teaching and non - teaching members were awarded as the dazzling Stars of the Year and were congratulated. The programme was an amalgamation of various hues, glittering bonanza of skits, dances and songs depicting “The Magical Sea World” were staged. The beautiful rendition of “The Life of A fisherman” was spell binding. An astounding visual treat was presented on a Fairy tale “The Little Mermaid”. The synchronized dance movements to the foot tapping music of the Pirates, Sailor, Beach and Nemo songs enthralled the audience. The Vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Sheebha. The Programme culminated with the National Anthem.

SANGAMAM 16 –’17 DAY 2 – JANUARY 13TH, 2017

The Day 2 of Sangamam 16 – ’17 presented the performances of graders 3 to11. The robust entrepreneur Mr. Seetharaman, Chairman and the Managing Director of Super Auto Forge Pvt Ltd and Mr Kamakoti CEO of City Union Bank presided over the second day of Sangamam 16 – ’17. This day also did have a surprise factor. The Management, keeping in mind the future career of the students did sign up a memorandum of understanding with Univarity – post School College planning system. Ms Nancy , Assistant Vice President represented the team Univarity and did come all the way from Hyderabad. She did speak about the prospects to the parents. Following this, the cultural events started in full swing.

Navarasa was taken as the theme of the day and all the dances, skits and medley did have one of the nine emotions as their subject. The compeering team also took up the same and highlighted the importance of each emotion and how one should balance it in order to master over it. There was a dance depicting each emotion- fear, anger, bravery, laughter, compassion, happiness, peace, love and wonderment. Two master pieces of William Shakespeare were staged- Julius Caesar and Taming of the shrew, the former having anger and disgust as the subject and latter the laughter. Tamil Skit Raja Raja Chola did steal the hearts of the audience. As it is said, “When there is a fountain of colours, they add charm to your life. In ignorance emotions are a bother; in knowledge the same emotions add colours.” the audience did enjoy their evening that was painted by all these emotions and also had a message to take back for their life.

Thus Sangamam 16 – ’17 served to be an amalgamation of the fabulous performances of the future leaders. And turned out to be yet another successful event under the leadership of Mr. Abinath Chandran, the dynamic Director , the guidance of Ms. Sujatha Guptan , the Principal and the coordinators’ of the event Ms.Gayathri Somasundaram and Ms.Sheebha . We owe a lot to Almighty for his blessings and benevolence.
