“It’s a beautiful thing when a career and a passion come together.”

Competitions and challenges are a part of today's world; therefore, to achieve our goals, we should plan our career well, rather than being aimless. Keeping this as the objective, a Career guidance program was organized by Queen Mira International School on 15th of July, 2017 in Heritage, one of the star hotels in Madurai. Students of grade IX to XII along with their parents were the participants. Mr.Nedunchezhian and his team were the presenters.

Mr.Nedunchezhian is an experienced educationalist and the founder of Technocrats India college finder (TICF). This is a social entrepreneurship venture founded in 2003. Mr.Nedunchezhian is an alumnus of the college of Engineering Guindy, Chennai.

The session began with a humble note of love to the Almighty for making this day a successful and useful one for the students. As this session is to replace the darkness with the light of knowledge, there was a lighting of Kuthuvillakku done by the chief guests, our panel of subject expertise, Vice Principal and the Head Girl of the school. Nishanth of Grade XI did deliver the Welcome Address. Following this the Principal, Ms Sujatha Guptan did introduce the Senior Faculty to the parents for them to have a sense of security and assurance.

Mr.Nedunchezhian did begin his session stating that the known is a drop and unknown is an ocean. The participants were able to acknowledge what he said at the end of the session as he came up with so many courses that one wouldn’t have known at all. He came up with the various competitive exams that one can attempt right from grade X. He did discuss how to crack NEET, JEE,CLAT, GATE, BITSAT and lot more. He insisted that to have a good future, one should choose a good University or an Institution instead of the course. Marking schemes of various examinations and how to attempt each exam were discussed.

This session was an eye opener for the children as well as the parents. Few of the participants did get confused as there were too many choices for them, but did clarify their doubts with the speaker during the time given to them. This session for sure would make the students focused and goal oriented. The session got over at 5.40PM by paying tribute to our Nation, singing the national anthem.
