Parent Teachers Conference : July 22
Researchers have shown that parental involvement is the most important factor in a student’s success and the school strongly believes that communication is one that strengthens any relationship. Therefore QMIS takes utmost care in communicating the progress of each child on a regular basis to the parents.
The monthly review for the Grades 6 to 9 and PTC for grade 10 was scheduled from at 9:30 am to 3:30 pm on Saturday, 22nd July, 2017. A detailed discussion regarding the academic and non-academic aspect of each child was discussed with their parents. The non-academic included classroom behaviour, participation in class, regularity in attendance as well as a child’s behaviour in general. The parents were eager to know about their child’s overall progress. They felt happy and secured as they were given a clear picture of what the child does in school and they were also ready to extend their supporting hands. The parents felt free to communicate their concerns to the teachers. This did show the rapport between the parents and teachers. This meeting did turn out to be a great success as the parents and the teachers did walk hand in hand having the same vision.
