ASL Workshop

ASL Workshop

Queen Mira International School had once again given an opportunity to the teachers to explore. This time it was for the English Department where two of the staff Ms Aysha Siddika and Ms Kalyani Venkatesh attended a two day workshop on ASL (Assessment for Speaking and Listening), conducted by the CBSE at Mahatma Montessori School, Pudur on the 5th and 6th of June 2015.

The session was very informative and a great learning experience. The workshop emphasized on how important is it to integrate the ASL right from the Grade 6 onwards. The session also explained that conducting Listening and Speaking activities right through Grades 1-5 makes it much easier for the students to get used to ASL.

The participants were involved in Mock Speaking assessment and also had Mock Listening assessment for a better understanding as of how the ASL has to be conducted in the campus. On the whole the teachers had gathered good experience and exposure for an enhanced implementation of the same.
