Children’s Day Celebration – Nov 14th 2013
Children are God's gift and childhood is all about innocence, liveliness, happiness and freedom. In India, Children’s Day is celebrated on 14th November as the day marks the birth anniversary of the legendary freedom fighter and independent India’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. As he was fond of children for their innocence and strongly believed that the future of the country is on their shoulders.
A lot of fun and frolic moments happened at the campus on this significant day. The day started with the special assembly by the teachers simulating the roles of the children. The dance, skit and song performed by their teachers amused the kids. Several events like drawing , colouring, clay modeling, flameless cooking , hat speech, word building, script your sensation, Solo dance , Solo Singing, instrumental music and fun games were organized for the Children to show case their talents.
But it was not just that. Today’s children are responsible citizens of tomorrow and the growth of country lies in their hands. A presentation by Ms.Vimalarani reminded everyone to renew their commitment towards the welfare of the children and to teach them to live by Chacha Nehru’s ideals.
At the end, the teachers of QMIS surprised their kids with a sapling. They staunchly felt that this would strengthen the bond between the learner and the taught and would pave a way for a long lasting reminiscence. Above all the teachers considered it their duty to gift this generation a greener tomorrow.
