Grandparent’s Day Celebration
‘Grandparents- a delightful blend of laughter, caring deeds, wonderful stories and Love!!’
Grandparents are silver in their hair and gold in their heart. In order to honor them we at QMIS celebrated Grandparents Day on 20th March 2015. The little tots welcomed their torch bearers with a broad smile and a welcome card.
Prayer song sung by the young nightingales melted the hearts of everyone who gathered there for the celebration. Following the welcome note of Srivastan of KG 1, there were volunteers from the grandparents who shared their sweet memories spent with their little darlings. We could notice the 60’s turning to 20’s when it came for participation.
Joy was filled everywhere as there were traditional games like Gillithanda, Pallanguli and Sottangal which the children wouldn’t have heard.
The happiest day was brought to an end with the sweet note of gratitude from Angeline Maria of Kg 1.
In order to preserve the precious moments of the day, the children along with their grandparents made a wonderful card for themselves to take back home.
"Seeing all the family here in harmony together is a joy to behold".
