A team of 64 students and 5 staff members were on the mission to a daring and enduring camping activity at Thenmalai. On 21st February 2014 the team set its expedition to the Thenmalai ecotourism centre, Kollam, Kerala as a part of Adventure club camping activity. The exciting five hours of trip by the bus and half an hour travel by the jeep landed us safely into the wilderness of nature. The tired team settled in their tents for a while and refreshed after a delicious Kerala’s traditional fish meal.

The amusing Adventure Club inauguration for the Academic Year 2014 – ‘15 took place at our Premises on the 27th of June, 2014 with great pomp and glory. We had three ardent and energizing guests of honour Mr..Raj Satyan- CEO of Rise Ahead a 360degree software solution provider and President of Madurai District Rugby association, basketball and foot ball associations, Mr.Ranjit Kumar- Athletic coach for Differently abled persons in Sports Development authority of Tamilnadu, Madurai and also gold medal winner in various throw events in National and International events(Paralympics) , Lt. Dr.Santhameenal, the Physical Director and the NCC coordinator for the Women Wing in Lady Doak College , Madurai who were a source of inspiration and an epitome of courage and confidence. The inauguration began with the Prayer song which conveyed the message of seeking courage, self - confidence and honesty for success in life. The inspirational speeches by all the guests of the day were really a booster for both our activities and as well as for life. A very sweet and precise presentation about the Adventure Club, by the in charges Ms. Karthiga and Ms. Revathi boosted the children’s eagerness. Cherish able previous experiences were shared by few of our students. Our Director Mr.Abinath Chandran, Principal Ms. Sujatha Guptan and the Guests of the Day joined hands together and declared open the Adventure Club to start functioning for the Academic Year 2014 -15. All is well that ends well. The day came to an end with the National anthem. The children dispersed with lots of expectations and for sure with tons and tons of courage and hope to make a “Difference in Life”
