Working of a pen
This session was framed with an objective of educating the students on the working of a pen.
The presentation initiated with the origin of Pen from the latin word “pinna” which means feathers, followed by its evolution from quill feathers to fountain pens.
The children were briefed on the basic parts of the pen that comprises of a nib, feed, collector and reservoir and its working. The phenomenon behind the working of a pen that is “the power of pressure” and the flow of ink due to its gravity and capillary action were explained to them through the presentation and a video.
