Sangamam 15 –’16 – an amalgamation of arts….
Queen Mira International School celebrated its 5th Annual Day celebration on the 18th and 19th of December, 2015 with all its uniqueness and it turned out to be yet another victorious episode in QMIS’ history. The two days programme noticeably manifested the harmony that prevailed within the mighty management, the passionate principal, the tempestuous teachers and the charming and challenging students.
Sangamam 15 –’16 Day 1 – December 18th, 2015
The Day 1 of Sangamam 15 – ’16 staged the performances of the kindergarten toddlers and graders 6 to 9. The people’s friend and aspirant Dr.Sylendra Babu IPS presided over the first day of Sangamam 15 –’16. His confident posture and friendly nature made most of our children to consider him as the real hero and role model. The 1 ½ hours informative interactive session between Dr.Sylendra Babu and the senior students boosted their responsibility. The pleasant shower before the mega event marked the blessing and presence of Almighty and our ancestors. QMIS’ News Portal Yagna Volume 5, issue 2 was released by the chief guest and the first copy was collected by P/O Pooja of grade 6. The pious prayer song sung by the choir and the astounding anchors were appreciated by the chief guest .The extravagant array of various cultural events like dances that included the classical welcome dance, Kg’s assorted dances, fisher men dance, fusion dance, A tribute to Micheal Jackson etc and skits – Hansel and Gretel, King Lear and the Tamil Skit along with the medley was a feast to the spectators and made them forget the busy world that is just around them.
Sangamam 15 –’16 Day 2 – December 19th, 2015
The Day 2 of Sangamam 15 – ’16 presented the performances of graders 1 to5. The undaunted edupreneur Mr. Ashok Kumar, the chairman of The Indian Public Schools chain and Dr. Ravi IPS presided over the second day of Sangamam 15 – ’16. Mr.Ashok Kumar had an interactive session with the faculty in the forenoon. The continuous downpour added beauty to the scintillating performances of the primary and upper primary children. The chief guest Mr.Ashok Kumar’s presence till the closure motivated the mass to keep continuing with their performances not minding about the rain or wind. The various fine arts events like the Brazilian dance, Venice carnival, Durga Pooja, La Tomatina ,Halloween dance, Japanese Song, Music Medley and the portray of Sleeping Beauty, Merchant of Venice and Tenali Raman proved to be an evidence of the performers’ grace and poise.
The Star Performers among the students of each grade, teaching and non - teaching members were entitled as the Sparkling Stars of the Year and were congratulated on both the days.
Thus Sangamam 15 – ’16 served to be an amalgamation of the fabulous performances of the future leaders. Kudos to the entire Team QMIS for directing yet another successful event under the leadership of Mr. Abinath Chandran, the dynamic Director , the guidance of Ms. Sujatha Guptan , the Principal and the coordinators’ of the event Ms.Kalyani Venkatesh and Ms.Gayathri Somasundaram . We owe a lot to Almighty for his blessings and our ancestors for their benevolence.
