The Co-Activity session on United Nations provided an opportunity to the students to understand the commitment, the organization holds in maintaining international peace and security, developing friendly relations among nations and promoting social progress, better living standards and human rights.
The purpose was to provide a framework to students from diverse backgrounds to expose them to the work of the United Nations and to gain experience in the work of the organization with the objective of deepening their knowledge and understanding of the United Nation’s goals, principles and activities.
It also highlighted the proficiency of students in various professional fields in United Nations programmes.
They also kept them aware on keeping peace throughout the world, developing friendly relations among nations, how to help nations work together to improve the lives of poor people, to conquer hunger, disease and illiteracy, and to encourage respect for each other’s rights and freedoms. At end of the session they were also harmonizing the actions to stand as young pillars to achieve these goals and coordinate efforts for a safer world for future generations.
